‘Sovereignty’ is the name given in British and Irish traditions to the Power in the Land that each of us needs to be blessed by to maintain a balance with Nature and to move forward in our personal development.
Sovereignty Essences are links that help us to reconnect to the planet and the cycles of Nature as a source of support and energy. They are combinations of flower and gem essences created on the solstices, equinoxes and quarter-days of the yearly cycle. Each essence is named after a goddess in Celtic Mythology, but also reflects imagery from other traditions worldwide.
These essences were developed after two years of intense personal work carried out at specific moon phases, earth cycles and traditional days of celebration. Due to the pace and demands of life today many people are unable to set aside a similar amount of time to create links to the land on which they live. For personal and planetary well-being, though, it is important that each of us has access to the vast reservoir of wisdom and energy provided by the Earth for us to reach towards our full potential. ‘Sovereignty Essences’ can help us do just that.
The choice of which essence to use can be made intuitively. However, other indications can provide a useful guide, for example: if the description of the essence fits a current emotional state; an essence correlates to specific times of the year that causes you problems; near your birthday or other significant anniversary.
